Department of Computer Science

   Department of Computer Science was established in August 1994. This Departmant is the integral part of the University & is one of the favorite Department on the campus. The Department of Computer Science runs two courses viz. MCA and M.Sc(Computer Science). It has approx. 24000 Sq. Feet built up area. Prof. B.V. Pawar is heading the Department of Computer Science.

    In a short span of time department has earned lot of reputation and popularity for providing latest, quality education and fulfilling growing needs for the skilled professionals, of the ever changing Software Industry and the IT world .


    Department consist of well-equipped laboratories for separate computing platforms, enabling the students to work with different cutting edges and hot cake technologies.

    Enough laboratory time is made available to the students for maximum utilization of the computing facilities. Our main strength is highly qualified & experienced faculty members, who are very enthusiastic in learning new technologies and updating their skill sets. Faculty members are always ready to guide students apart from regular teaching hours and maintaining the disciplined behavior in the departments.

    Since we are situated on a hilly terrain near Jalgaon City, the campus provides the natural ambience, which is free from the pollution, & provides a perfect atmosphere for the study.

    We maintain a very indusive, feel-at-home & open culture in the premise, because we believe in progressive unfoldment of the students towards becoming perfect IT professionals. The department not only provides the IT professionals but apart from regular studies, we cultivate the virtues of discipline, high Moral values, Competitiveness & Team spirit in our students, which leads to the overall personality development of the students.

Admission Eligibility/Criteria/Procedure

  1. Eligibility:

    M.Sc.(Computer Science) -
    General Criteria: Atleast 50% marks at graduation (45% marks for Backward class i.e. SC/ST/DT/NTOBC categody candidates from Maharashtra State). In case of other university candidate, Preference will be given to students having principal subject at B.Sc. over B.Sc. General.
    Specific Criteria: B.Sc.(Computer Science) with Mathematics upto S.Y.B.Sc. level.

    M.Sc.(Information Technolody) -
    General Criteria: Atleast 50% marks at graduation (45% marks for Backward class i.e. SC/ST/DT/NTOBC categody candidates from Maharashtra State). In case of other university candidate, Preference will be given to students having principal subject at B.Sc. over B.Sc. General.
    Specific Criteria:Requires B.Sc. Information Technology. If seats remain vacant then students with BCA or B.Sc. (Computer Science) will be considered for admission.

    M.C.A. - Any Graduate with Mathematics upto 12th or equivalent.

  2. Admission Criteria:
    M. Sc.-Admission is alloted on the basis of the merit/marks at the graduation examination. M. C. A.- Admission is alloted on the basis score at MCA Common Entrance Test(CET), as conducted by CET as DTE's Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP).

  3. Admission Procedure:

    - Advertisement is published in some leading newspapers in the month of May/June every year. The prescribed application forms are available at the Office of the Department. M.C.A.- Advertisement is published (by DTE, Mumbai) in leading newspapers in the month of January every year. The prescribed application forms are available at the respective application form receipt center (ARC).
