Keeping in mind the need of management education, university decided to establish the Department of Management Studies in 1992. This department offers structured graduate and undergraduate programs in Management, which are exhaustive in nature and structured to meet the challenges poised by industry & job Market. The programs offered by the Department are Ph.D. Program. Two-years Full-time Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) approved by U.G.C. and A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi. Three-years Full-time Bachelor of Business Management (B.B.M.)

Admission Procedure

  1. Eligibility:
    B.B.M. - The Candidate must have passed the H.S.C. Examination of recognized board with minimum 45 % marks (40% in case of SC/ST/DTNT/OBC category candidates).
    M.B.A. - (As per DTE, Mumbai, (M.S.) Norms) Passed with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor�s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
  2. Admission Criteria:
    B.B.M. - Merit basis as per university norms.
    M.B.A. - Admission to the MBA Programme is conducted strictly under the guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai. The candidate has to undergo the procedure laid down by DTE. They have to appear for Common Entrance Test (C.E.T.) conducted by Doctorate of Technical Education, Mumbai. They also have to appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews.

After the II Semester students are placed in an industrial organisation for a period of two months, where they take up a live management problem for their project.   2. Departmental Library is having nearly 610 book titles.

International Exposure

  1. Dr. Seema Joshi was invited by National Hotel & Tourism Institute (Government of Yemen Undertaking) for conducting Five days workshop on Services Marketing during 23rd to 27th June 2007. This workshop was attended by 27 participants. These participants were high profile executives working in tourism industry in Yemen.
  2. Dr. Seema Joshi visited CETYS University, Mexico under the faculty exchange program. She delivered lectures on Retail Management for M.B.A. students. Her Topics were-
    1. Managing People
    2. Customer Service in Retailing.
    These lectures were delivered at the Ensenada campus of CETYS University.
    Dr. Seema Joshi also delivered speeches at three campuses of CETYS University (Ensenada, Mexicali, Tijuana). The topics on which she delivered speeches were-
    1. Marketing Competitiveness An Asian Perspective
    2. Business Opportunities & International Business in India
    These lectures were attended by students, academicians & people from industry. The visit was scheduled between 28th April to 8th May 2008.
