BCUD is the back bone of every university, it
works as a catalyst between colleges and university, government
and other funding agencies. It is primarily responsible for circulating
information about various government policies and financial assistance
programs, to the Affiliated Colleges and the Academic Departments.
This section was established in 1995. Currently it is Headed by Prof. S. B. Chincholkar.
The Functional Role of BCUD is :

To suggest measures to create links and develop specific schemes.

To prepare plans for the development of University and Colleges.

To evaluate and assess the use of grants by university departments, centers and affiliated colleges.

To arrange academic audit and collaborative programs of University.

To provide financial assistance to teachers/administrators for attending/presenting research in conferences, training programs.

To scrutinize the applications received for establishment of affiliation to the University and process the same for forwarding to the State Government as provided by the Statues.
BCUD acts as the nodal agency for colleges, principals, college teachers, students and researchers for submitting and forwarding their research proposals and proposals about starting of new colleges etc. Spectrum of information provided by BCUD includes information about Schemes of Funding for Research Projects, Development Schemes, for colleges, University, Fellowships, Data pertaining to submission of Research Projects(Major, Minor) etc.
Uniqueness of the work culture :-
Periodic meetings of the staff are held for enhancing efficiency,
free discussions and exchange of thoughts are encouraged,
membership of Quality Circle (in organization for excelling) is being subscribed. Besides the routine work our BCUD department has also participated actively in extension activities like roof top rainwater harvesting and water conservation.
