To promote importance of physical fitness amongst the students through sports and to implement National Sports Policy in the universities, a Sport Section was established in the University on 15thAugust, 1990.
This section is headed by the Director of Sports
Mr. Dinesh Patil. The prime responsibilities of this section are to organize various Inter Collegiate Sports Tournaments, conduct Inter Group Tournaments, & Inter University Sports Tournaments.
a gymnasium equipped with modern equipments has been developed in the campus.
Sports section is a nodal agency for sports related activities in the university and affiliated colleges.
The women's team of our university won the gold medal in All India Inter University Softball tournament, held at Osmaniya University, Hydrabad.
