The UDCT Staff has the tradition of conducting higher research, which is reflected through the high quality of research publications in national and international journals and large number of Ph.D. students working on practical problems related to industries. Some of the teachers have visited countries like France, Germany, Austria, Romania to present their research papers. The teachers participate in refresher and QIP programmes to keep themselves familiar with latest research trends. The department has received research project grants (around 5.52 Crore) from various agencies like DST, CSIR, DRDO, UGC, AICTE etc.and has been recently covered under NON-SAP Scheme of UGC,FIST Scheme of DST and Innovative Programme of UGC. The faculty members are offering consultancy on regular basis to chemical and allied industries from Maharashtra State which has formed the basis of active and continuous Industry-Institute interaction. The research project work in third and fourth semester of M. Tech. programme is supported by renowned chemical industries.
